Hey guys! You may not see this comment since this is an old video, but this song has a similar rhythm and is in the same key as Groove Theory’s song “Tell Me”. That song has a slightly slower tempo, but if you’ve hears it before, that may be why this cover seems so familiar. Plus, it just has a 90’s style to it. Love this performance, the energy of the choreography matches the tempo perfectly!

2020-11-10 10:13:32 +0000 UTCYeah the covering other idol groups is a really popular thing in Korea-- the last few years its become pretty popular to cover BTS songs as well, dance covers are pretty common but sometimes they'll go out and do the whole thing-- although funnily enough whenever someone covers DNA it's almost ALWAYS slowed down because dancing that at their speed is impossible (and yet Jin pulled off the dance at double speed once) TXT (BTS's juniors at the company) covered Boy in Luv last year and it was just incredible. Solar from Mamamoo covered Fire and she was just ICONIC. Ateez is another rookie group who's pulled off pretty amazing covers of I Need You, On, Blood Sweat and Tears and Boy with Luv (they LOVE covering them)-- I'm sure there are some other great covers but those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head. It could be cool to see you guys reacting to those videos, just seeing other groups pay tribute to BTS is pretty great

2020-11-10 06:12:12 +0000 UTCLove this performance.... you can see in some other clips one of the other groups singing along, admiring the performance, and realizing that Jimin is the guy who ripped his shirt off in the battle with BlockB lol.... Yeah, Shinhwa gave the guys advice when they first debuted, you can thank them for how BTS does their intro hehe.... if you have the time, I would recommend the Celebrity Bromance series where JK and Minwoo hung out one day as part of a reality program putting celebrities together. It is really really good. Tae did one episode as well with another celebrity too... and at the end of the set of episodes for each bromance you see other BTS members reacting to it. lol.... it is too cute and funny. 2020-11-10 03:23:28 +0000 UTCshinhwa is the longest-running group in kpop history iirc, they formed in the late 90s and they're still active! i'm not a hardcore stan or anything but i do like shinhwa, and this song is a bop. it was released in the early 2000s, and this is the original choreo for the song (though this is a shorter version of it/the song). this performance was for a music festival (20...15? i think?) and rm had to sit it out because he'd been hurt in rehearsal😕 that's the only thing that could've made this epic performance better, having him there. so glad y'all finally got to see it, it's one of my faves💜

They came out in the early 2000s, a few years after Backstreet Boys so they are that eras contemporaries. They are still around putting out music actually. Jungkook even did a show with one of their members getting advice. I'm glad you guys enjoyed this. If you can find fancams or one of those die by sides so you can see the original group vs BTS doing the choreo. On thing I do love about kpop is that they let younger groups do covers of older groups as special performances. It let's these newer groups get exposed to people they might not have otherwise. And shows their versatility. Its always fun seeing the covers.
