BTS - AMERICAN HUSTLE LIFE EP. 8 | THE FINAL REACTION

Comments

I loved this series, the second time around. Bringing two cultures together is awesome. Somewhat cringey in the beginning, but they saw some aspects of Hip Hop life in LA. This art form is all around the world now, and that's a good thing. I loved it. Iris was wonderful, as was Tony and Nate.

Janice

It is so fun to go back and see their beginnings. Even early on BTS had such amazing stage presence. You could tell they would have greatness in their future. Nico, AJJ and Blaze, I continue to love your reactions.

Eileen Arnot

I'm really glad that I finally watched this series after putting it off for so long!! The first two episodes weren't great, but after that, I was very happy with all of the tutors and the relationships that BTS made. Watching their final concert was emotional for me here just to see the love they had for all the people who helped them along the way in LA. I'm beyond proud of these boys ! This series was indeed very formative for these guys. The hip hop education really truly helped them hone their craft and shape their careers! Grateful to Tony and Nate especially for taking our little ones under their wings all those years ago Watching these guys always makes me want to work harder, be kinder, be more grateful, and generally better. I couldn't ask for more.

Ellie M

And now these stunning mfs done been to the White House....just perspective on what role America plays in their lives now. It's pure delightful insanity.

DJ Nightshade

I feel you. I think it's easier to watch this series with fellow ARMY rather than watching it alone.

WhatchaGot2Say

I don't even know where to begin...I put off watching this series bc of the clips I saw from the first 2 episodes...y'all know what I'm talking bout so need to go into detail...but man I'm so glad I stuck it out and watched everything with the FAM...there were laughs and tears and goosebumps. This right here is why ARMY is so protective of the guys..they are the most humble, respectful, talented hardworking, caring, kind (I could keep going) group of young men I've ever seen. THESE MEN ARE THE ROLE MODELS WE ALL NEED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

L.A. Kennedy

It was awesome watching this series with you guys. Seeing them pass out flyers for the concert is just so unbelievable and crazy, especially after missing out on getting tickets for the LA concert this week!

Chandu

Wow. That was really good. I'm so happy I decided to watch AHL after all (I found EP 4 on YouTube to catch up before watching this one). Overall, though there were rough bits here and there, the good outweighed the bad and it was amazing to see all the lessons the boys learned as well as see them gain more confidence in different areas. I think Warren G was my favorite coach. He definitely had a calm, down-to-earth energy about him, and I loved how humble he still is, taking time to greet people and take pictures with them. I also loved that the coaches all came to the concert in the end. Iris looked so happy to see JK, Tae, and SUGA singing Oh Happy Day. And I loved seeing how much they'd bonded with Tony and Nate over the course of the series. It was so cute seeing their interactions in each episode. What's crazy is that their first concert in LA maybe had 100-200 people. Now 7 years later, they'll be performing at a sold-out stadium that can hold 100,000 people next month. Talk about working hard for your dream! Not many people can say they're willing to spend that long of a time to reach their dreams, but BTS stayed the course and they just keep getting bigger and bigger. I'm so proud of them. They deserve everything they're achieving right now, especially when you look back on these beginnings and see how they bring 110%, whether they're in a stadium or at a small venue just starting out. What an inspiring story they have. Their journey is definitely encouraging to me, and I appreciate them so much. Thank you so much guys for the amazing content! I know these reaction videos are a huge time investment - I appreciate you and all the hard work. It was so much fun to watch this with you guys! Now I'm off to watch more of the content on here! :)

Lily

You are very welcome FAM! And we are happy that we can be there for you like that. Thank you for being with us too ๐Ÿค“

WhatchaGot2Say

I loved watching this whole series with you guys. You have the best reactions. I don't have anyone here close to my age that I can talk to about BTS where I live in Texas so I really look forward to your reactions, plus other YouTuber's that I follow. I've been following you guys for a while on YouTube and finally decided to join your Patreon. I really don't comment because I really don't know what to say sometimes. But anyway thank you so much for the great content you put out. ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿค—๐Ÿ’œ

Sandra

It was corrupted so they were not able to upload it.

no worries, the planet has kim namjoon

Where is ep 4 I donโ€™t see it

Trenaisha Neal

Yeah I think AHL was a good series overall. They met and learned from some exceptional influencers within the Hip Hop community which I believe was beneficial to their growth and further appreciation of the culture. The few moments that were cringy are indicative of life....we all go through challenges and experience uncomfortable situations but it's how we face and overcome them that matters most.

WhatchaGot2Say

I'm glad that you guys took the time to watch AHL. Some Armys say to skip it cause it's too cringy and there were def some moments but I also feel it helped shape who they are today. Without these experiences they wouldn't be the same. SO it was a worthwhile journey.

M bat78

Definitely our pleasure FAM

WhatchaGot2Say

Well said Blaze! Well Said. They deserve the world....humble kings.

Ha Knuffke

TY for going thru AHL... i'm missing young bangtan and watching them with you guys already. truly a treat.

jeanbee

It was so much better watching it with you guys! And just an FYI, I have no problems waiting for you guys to get together to react to a series, just saying. I'll just go back to your other reactions like the Cyphers or Pied Piper & Dimple. That is still one of my favorites, guys! That one is gold! Borahae!

Rae Avilez

Thank you FAM! We really enjoyed this series ๐Ÿ˜

WhatchaGot2Say

(>_<) Why does it have to end? It was nice watching American Hustle Life with you guys!

happles

Oh wow thank you and glad you liked it FAM

WhatchaGot2Say

This was such a treat. I love this series and I especially I LOVED watching it again with you guys! Thank you so much for all of your reactions!๐Ÿ’œ

Old_skool luvaffair

Looking forward to watching the other series with you as well because i really donโ€™t have any army friends IRL, huhu ๐Ÿ˜ข

bembolbee

Wow, itโ€™s really finished huh. It seemed just like yesterday that they were flying coach (can you believe that?!?) and so excited going to LA. Oh wait, it was just yesterday because i binged the episodes, hahaha. Please know that I want to thank you because i really enjoyed watching these with your insights

bembolbee

They actually made a reaction for the MV of the song in place of the AHL episode 4 that got corrupted.

bembolbee

Overall they learned some amazing lessons, despite the shaky beginning. Not sure if you knew it, but they were also recording their Dark and Wild album while they were there (in a rented garage studio) which is why they were so tired all the time. Tony was actually the one who gave Jimin the nickname "ChimChim" and he speaks very fondly of BTS to this day.

Laurie Brennan

I enjoyed watching this series, especially with you guys watching it, too. Some of it was a bit hard to get through but I'm glad I stuck with it and watched it all. Seeing them work hard, back then and now, it makes me love them even more. They have always been humble and they appreciate everything. I only became army this year so it's nice to see this older content. Looking forward to seeing you guys react to more BTS shows. ๐Ÿ’œ Bon Voyage is so fun and it's some of my favorite content of theirs... BTS and travel shows, two of my favorite things. ๐Ÿ˜

AJ

Been an ARMY since 2016 (year 3 of Bangtan) and AHL was one of the first series I went through to get to know BTS further. Eps 1-3 were the hurdle I had to jump over, but keeping in mind that the maknae line were really still boys at that time helped a lot in giving them allowances for their mistakes and some of their prejudices too. After the first 3 eps, I enjoyed seeing how they adapted. Like you said, Suga and RM were already very well integrated and exposed with the hip hop culture because of their love for the genre. JHope were exposed because of his love for dance, but the vocal line were really not. And despite all the initial culture shock, i liked that they adapted and I do think that Big Hit made the right decision in giving them the 21 days of experience in America so they could open their eyes and not remain over protected and naive. All in all, I believe AHL was a good training for them. It was hard, and RM may have questioned if they really needed to go that hard, but i believe it was needed and taught BTS a lot. Thank you for watching all the episodes. I enjoyed watching it again with you. I am now looking forward to Bon Voyage series. Please start with the earliest which is Season 1. Thanks again.

Responsible Noona

Definitely do Bon Voyage! Since itโ€™s 4 seasons (5 if you include in the soop), itโ€™s gonna take some time to get through them lol

Bangtan is life

Iโ€™ve been an army for over 4 years now and iโ€™ve only now fully gone through AHL. I really just couldnโ€™t go thru the first episodes man they made me so mad ๐Ÿ˜‚ so iโ€™m so glad i could watch them all now with you guys and also get your insights! it was so much fun (and more bearable lmao) to watch with you Iโ€™m so glad i joined Patreon fam!

magyes

Yay!!! I TOLD YA!! Im so glad you guys loved and appreciated it!! Love u guys!๐Ÿ’œ

DeAnna Jeane

I'm a fairly new ARMY (June 2020) and AHL was one of the very first BTS related series I watched, so it definitely has a special place in my heart. At the time I didn't know that much about who BTS were as people, so it was wonderful to see how open they were to learning about hip hop culture and its origins. It really made me appreciate them as artists and I suppose in a way it even changed my view of K-Pop in general (for the better, that is). This was the second or third time I saw this final episode of AHL and I only now recognized that SUGA's verse during 'Oh Happy Day' is actually his verse from 'Tomorrow', my 2nd favorite BTS song of all time. That was a fun surprise! I love the BTS version of 'Regulate', especially Jimin's part! And SUGA's lyrics were amazing (as they always are)! Personally, I'd love to see you guys react to all seasons of Bon Voyage (especially because BTS came to my home country on Season 1), but definitely do what you feel is best. I love all of your content, so no matter what you choose to react to, I'm sure it's gonna be great!

LMH

I went on this American Hustle Life journey for the first time with you guys. And I'm glad I was patient and waited to watch them with you guys for every episode. I agree with Blaze - I appreciate the struggle they had to go through. I feel to truly convey hiphop, you have to have experienced, at least in a small part, the struggles of hiphop artists. So every moment, even the uncomfortable ones, were useful to teach the boys and give them a better understanding and appreciation for the music. Thanks, WG2S family for taking me on this journey with you. It was a VERY interesting, and fun, ride. Borahae.

Lux

Oh yes, those are amazing!

Cynthia Serra Neves

Like to request for the reactors screen to be bigger.

Reishue

Bon Voyage next! Yes! Love all four of them.

Regret Goat

Feel like Rookie King while in the same time period is random in content/style and thus I feel Burn the Stage is a more important/vital insight if considering Nico/AJJ/Blaze only had limited time to be gathered. AJJ and Blaze should also find it more informative/interesting being performers themselves

Reishue

โ€œHe shouldnโ€™t do that anymore...โ€ Nico says about Spider-Man! I laughed until I cried. But seriously, I truly believe that BTS got more from this than meets the eye. Your narrative about envisioning, planning, doing it to fruition does apply to all things in life. I enjoyed watching this series with you. Keep doing what youโ€™re doing because weโ€™re listening.

khdavis

Cool, cannot wait!

kolea626

It is funny that I am reading this comment right after we finished reviewing the entire Dark & Wild album. I wholeheartedly agree - but will save my thoughts so that you can see...or should I say hear them in our upcoming video where we review the whole album. All I can say is that we are on the same page FAM for real. Ok I've said too much I'm sure lol

WhatchaGot2Say

You should put The Rookie King on your list. Those are some early, crazy but fun Bts videos to watch. I think there are 8 episodes. Bon Voyage would be good as well.

Jill Cardwell

I certainly vote Bon Voyage as well, please. I also recommend going in order from season 1. ๐Ÿ’œ

ARMYnotArmy

I would say watch Bon Voyage. All seasons but as you are already behind on the Run episodes and are starting Burn The Stage, I would say put a hold on Bon Voyage. Bon Voyage is really cool and fun to watch the members go about their day in a different place but the episode are very long. They are about an hour or more and you should watch Bon Voyage and In The Sooo once you have cleared up on the one's you are currently or just have started. I came back just to write this again but please react to BTS GAYO or like other people said, Rookie King. Both are very good and pretty short too so you can have something short to react to while you still have the big projects like RUN or Burn The Stage. Both rookie king and BTS Gayo are like the firsts to the RUN episodes. In BTS Gayo they do games or challenges as well but they explore the concept of K-Pop so they have tests based on artists or even see the ranks of BTS songs. I feel like you can chose Rookie King or BTS Gayo right now and once done with that and Burn the Stage, you can lead on to Bon Voyage or their other docu-series.

Victoria Mendez

Definitely Bon voyage!!!!!!!!!! Please!

Ashley DeJosie

Bon Voyage!!!! Please! All 4 seasons are so good and fun and heartwarming and so much more lol

Fallon Tsui

bon voyage yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees

smol

I loved your reaction as always and I say yesssss to Von Boyage series. I am waiting for your reaction of bv since I started following you guys so I would love to see what you think about those series. You can see more about their personalities and they way they enjoy every travel and every thing they do. Of course this is just my opinion and I will be happy to see everything you chose. Greetings from Argentina.

Nati Sabio

Great reactions! BTS is on another level - seeing them in AHL with humbling experiences- their passion is extraordinary! I agree with your comments, and I appreciate your words on inspiring others!

Chimming

What was always in the background and referenced to (by V and possibly by RM?) was their recording of their album "Dark & Wild". I've read comments to other AHL episode reactions and agree that this album needs more of your attention. You've reacted to "Hip Hop Phile" (the live version), "Cypher 3" (you did all Cyphers), "Let Me Know" (Nico and Mika covered a live version very recently). If possible, listen to "Intro: What Am I to You" - the opening strings are unmistakably BTS with a masterful performance by RM. The "Danger" choreo blew up their stage performances; "Rain" is a jazzy piano soft sexy rap; "Look Here" is BTS's homage to JT's Sexy Back and whoa, seriously impressive - are these guys 21 years old, what?? I can't believe this album came out so early in their careers. Their work pivoted after "Dark & Wild" - they branched out to conceptual, larger ideas, which carried out to their current MOTS: 7 (let's see if that stays true with BE). I would be curious if you and anyone else in the FAM agrees. Thank you for your reactions to all eight episodes of AHL - truly enjoyed it! Laughed, cried, cringed, shouted and sang right along with you'all! Keep up the great work!

kolea626

This reaction was so great glad you guys got through the series and got to have a look into parts of Bangtan's early stages. Would love to see Bon Voyage (New Zealand - Season 4) you probably wont start there but thats what I personally am just saying I'll look forward to. Or In the Soop, its their most recent show and it has 8 episodes! Would definitely love to see that! Also cant wait for that Dark and Wild Album reaction! Much love from a Jamaica Army!

Alex Turnbull

my vote is for Bon Voyage!

Misue

Loved this episode.

itsCHEL

Thank you! And yes to me the AHL series was an enjoyable one and it is extra special because we got to enjoy it with you all ๐Ÿค“

WhatchaGot2Say

I really enjoyed your reactions and watching AHL with you again. So many pass up the series and I think they miss some special moments in doing so. I look forward to the next series you tackle. I do love Bon Voyage ones as well, especially Hawaii and New Zealand. But, do what you will enjoy at your own pace so it stays fun and enjoyable for you.

Lilanea

Heyyy thatโ€™s whatโ€™s up FAM! We appreciate having you with us as well. It brings us a lot of joy to be able to connect on this level ๐Ÿค“๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ

WhatchaGot2Say

Love your reactions as always, glad you enjoyed AHL. I'm really glad you've worked out a way of Blaze joining in without physically being there, hopefully it relieves some of the pressure of trying to organise everyone together. Personally I would recommend continuing with Run episodes and Burn the stage rather than starting something new especially as we have come back next month. But I agree with another commenter, do what you want, it should be fun for you too, not just to keep us happy.

Bluecharlie0

I live in rural Tennessee and have no Army friends here. I appreciate you guys so much! Having you guys to watch along with brings me so much joy! I can tell that you put a lot of time and effort into doing these videos for us. I discovered BTS during the original airing of American Hustle Life. I was widowed really young and home raising a baby alone. I used to be a dancer myself and was always watching dance content online and came across this series being shared a lot on You Tube in some of my dance and music circles. I am proud to be Army since 2014 and a Watcher Fam since 2019 ๐Ÿ’œ Borahae!

SamanthaC

BTS series like the Bon voyages, burn the stage, bring the soul and in the soop are all great series where you can see the progress of their teamwork and friendship. It will be nice if you guys can see their progress but seriously, to me, its your choice fam. Do what you guys can do and want to do, and yes, I am feeling great with this new way of virtual reaction (or Watch Party as I call it cos I get to watch again with you guys and yeah its less lonelier ๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿฅฐ)

Yumi Shimitzu

I respect his raw honesty. Itโ€™s how I feel ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿค“

WhatchaGot2Say

Great reaction, guys! I hope you'll watch Bon Voyage next. Love from my corner of the world.

Hanna

I really want you to see their recent docu-series Break the Silence so bad ๐Ÿคฃitโ€™s my favorite so far

J.N

If you guys are gonna hop onto in the soop, i think starting with bon voyage would be a good idea :)

Itami

watch in the soop!!! seriously....

Erin Kemble

There's a lot I dislike about AHL but it did give us some iconic fetus Bangtan moments.

Karla24.wintaebear

Tony is still one of their biggest fans. He guest reacts on another reactors channel and once I saw the reactors putting other groups MV's for him to watch and he said he couldnt appreciate anyone else because BTS for him is untoppable. He isn't ashamed to be biased and will support his boys forever.

Lily Wrenn

in the soop!!!

Julienne Santos

I feel like you guys should catch up with the burn the stage series and the runs first before you jump to something else because yall are so behind lol

J.N

I Loved going on the American hustle life journey with you guys! Sad itโ€™s ended but excited for you guys to discover more things theyโ€™ve done over the years. I love bon voyage but also, keeping with the really early days theme, Rookie King is really fun and funny! Thank you guys for your reactions always!

Lexyoongi

I honestly would have never watched this series on my own, thank you for letting us watching it with you fam! Bon Voyage is different, but so much fun to watch the boys slowly become more independent ๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿคก

CarmenF

Bon Voyage Season 1 and 4 are my favorites. Can't wait to see you guys react to that!

Marguerite Engel

Yes, also Tony give Jimin the name "Chim Chim" because he could not remember Jimin. Tony was surprised to know that the name stuck with Jimin and people call Jimin Chim Chim .

Carlethia Street

Sad that this reaction on AHL comes to an end. But I'm looking forward for you guys to react to Bon Voyage series. You see more of their personality.

I STAN THE GREATEST

You should check out Rookie Kings guys. It's the origin of their shows. And V had his first kiss on this show ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ

I STAN THE GREATEST

Bon voyage is my favorite bts series!

Amanda P

Bon Voyage!!

bon voyage !!!!! Yeeeees!!!!!! ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ

Lourdes Meneses

Thi is the first Reality of Bts! Itโ€™s like run (the beginning) ๐Ÿ’œ

Lourdes Meneses

That sounds interesting. I need to find that video you speak of ๐Ÿค“

WhatchaGot2Say

There's so many to choose from like bon voyage, in the soop, BTS festas, break the silence and so much more. Bon voyage is a good place to start. As the seasons progress you get to see them have more fun and more freedom but also bon voyage has that sentimental aspect to it and makes you connect with them more as people.

Marie Davis

Stefanie

Iโ€™ve heard of it but havenโ€™t seen any episodes of it yet.

WhatchaGot2Say

It was hard to find. Luckily someone posted it on their Facebook. Thatโ€™s where I found it ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿค“

WhatchaGot2Say

That is extremely inspiring and sounds like the character of a champion. I really need to watch that ๐Ÿค“

WhatchaGot2Say

When they went back to LA for KCON later that yr, they caught up with Tony and had dinner. There is a video their KCON performances and behind the scenes, with footage of the dinner and poor Jimin really didn't want to say goodbye to his main man Tony.๐Ÿค—๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ

Tanya perez

I love RM's Fit looking good. ๐Ÿ˜

DinaArmyMom

BON VOYAGE!! :)))

Michelle Nowland

Hummmm....not a bad idea at all to start Bon Voyage.

D'Alice Craig

Side note, pun intended I guess (haha), JK, Jimin, and Jinโ€™s voice types are categorized as tenors while V is a baritone. He is listed in the โ€œList of baritones in non-classical musicโ€ along with James Brown, J Cole, Elvis, and my fav Luther Vandross.

Maria A

I loved watching this with yโ€™all! Did yโ€™all know that namjoon went back to LA after AHL and worked on a track with Warren G? Yโ€™all should check it out. Really underrated. Theyโ€™re so cool together

jvhleesi

Can't believe it's over. Glad you guy's enjoyed it. You should react to BTS GAYO. It is kinda like RUN BTS but it is only 14 episodes. It is hilarious. It actually is very short. It is about 10 minutes for each episode. I believe they did it before the RUN episodes or during the first few episode. Hope you can react to it and hope you enjoy.

Victoria Mendez

Have you heard about Rookie Kings? I know a bunch af new Army haven't actually a bunch of Army who've been around awhile hasn't seen it. It's more of a variety show it was the precursor to run bts๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ

๊น€์œค์ง€(Kim Yoonji)

Yes! I've been waiting to watch this episode with you guys. I knew you'd like the concert. I agree with everything you guys said at the end. I love that thru this series you really see how genuine and humble BTS are. No big egos. No matter who they met or what they did they were never rude or complained (not seriously... although sometimes we thought they had a right to be upset). They just listened and worked hard while having fun. It's inspiring to watch them now and see their hard work pay off. Now you can watch their other series to see how their journey continued. Thanks too.. know it's not easy to get together and edit everything ๐Ÿ’œ!

Terri Cooper

This is the episode that I cant find anywhere online. Glad you reacted to this whole series. And Im thankful I'll get to watch this bcoz of you, guys! You're awesome. Thank you ๐Ÿ’œ

Iris

I totally agree with you at the end. And since you mentioned their work ethic at the end: Today the Behind the Scenes of their grammy performance came out and what namjoon said was so inspiring and kinda sad to be honest. He said: "Altough it is short it is our first grammy performance. We didn't get to perform our song sadly but we'll do our best for the 46 seconds that we've got." And let's be honest here. In the video you see their hard work for those 46 seconds. And watching AHL with you again just reminded me of that specific moment that I watched today so I wanted to share it. Sorry for the long comment :D

Stefanie

The Troubador has welcomed many a great artist into their house. This small concert by BTS was amazing to watch both then and now ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’š

So excited to watch this!! But sad it's ending...
