Daily Update 6/13

 Essentially what I did today was build the new office map from scratch piece by piece, So if you play a lot of koikatsu based games you should notice that

 I have been slowly making more and more of the maps from scratch. Eventually I want to have every map recreated from scratch.

 Though they do take a long time to do. Just building this map took me 5 hours. Then to get all the renders for it took another 3 hours.

   -Mainly because I needed to decide who all I wanted in the office and when, then get renders for every possible combination.

     ie. linia chatting when you have Pursena rescued, and when she isn't rescued yet. Also any image that the trophy case is visible I needed to have 8 Variants of said image.

     because I also just introduced a trophy system at the same time. There are 7 standard trophies available to show up on your trophy case. Then 4 figurines that can appear on your mantle

     by beating the games current 4 bosses.

    In total this required 120 renders, then for the image buttons so players can interact with things that brought the total images up to 214.

    After All that I decided fuck trying to remember to code that later... like always I keep it 100% with you all. I tend to forget a lot of what my brain considers "small" things,

    those then turn into HUGE issues later, like in the alpha 1 release. You may not know this but I had to release it 2x because I forgot to add the image buttons that allowed the player to enter Sara's and Ariel's Rooms.

    meaning players would have been blocked out of a third of the content in the game. All because I forgot 4 images.

    Then the same thing happened with the Alpha 2 release. But I forgot to add Linia to Lilia's move in script. Meaning you just straight up couldn't have her move in.... which was the main point of that update.

    So yea. I am trying to make a effort that when I have the images for something done I just code it right away. So this entire office addition to the game took me an entire day to create, render, and code. But it is 100% done and fully integrated already.

    Since it is fully integrated it makes things easier for later, for example at some point I want to add a randomizer that when you talk to an npc it will randomly pick 1 of 10 convos to have with you.

    with all the skeleton of that system already in place it makes it easier for me later. All I need to do to integrate that now, would be think up 10 convos then just make a label in the code and write the 10 convos in. Boom done.

    The only reason I haven't done that already is because of priorities, like I want the world to feel fuller so I am trying to add 5 random NPCs per update to the world with a couple of convos each. I eventually want to have 50 NPCs in the town that you can interact with.

    I also finished implementing Pursena's boss battle to unlock her. To finish the Pursena content I still need to make her dates, get the renders for when she is in her room. (I have her bathroom ones done.)

    Tomorrow I will be getting the renders to the new game introduction started. I am going to try to get as many of those 15 points done as possible.

Also just a sneak peek into my mind.... While typing this, I remembered that I did not have Pursena added to Lilia's move in code.... So I added that too lol.

Things to add for the Beta 1 Update

-New game introduction. - Not Done - Waiting for dialogue

I have around half the intro story script from writer. So I can get the renders and animations for this.

-Pursena - Story, Convos, and Dates - Not Done - Waiting on writer.

Should be 2 or 3 positions on the dates.

-Add some more dialogues for random people in town. - Not Done - Waiting on writer.

-Integrate Boss Battle 4 - 6/13

-Add Pursena script to Lilia so she can move in. - 6/13

-Add Pursena to Merc Company - For convos and dates. - Done 6/13

-Remake entire Office to remove computer, Make different Office versions to add things after completing boss battles and ranking up. - Done 6/13

 to make it feel like your office is growing with you.

-Create 5 new NPC characters

-Add NPC characters to randomly picked maps, 2 maps at different times of day, 1 conversation at each location.

-Convert renders from png to webp

-Rename and organize all renders

----This section can not be started till everything above is done----

Coding - Not Done - This will take between one and 2 days.

Testing - Not Done - Let's be real, no matter how much I test it, it will not be enough, one of you will find a bug, which will be fixed the update after. But I will be spending a full day just on bug testing.

I am going to show some beginning of the game images and some more end...well not end game because we will be going to at least 4 other cities in our journeys... I guess end game.. so far? The trophy case for Sharia hows that lol. Because we still have the Nanahoshi update left in Sharia before I start building stuff for the next HUGE update when we go to where ever you guys decide to vote on. To keep content coming to you all during that time btw, originally I planned on just taking like 3 months to build the new area and the new systems for said new area. Instead of doing that I am going to be working on the new area stuff in the background while the updates during that time for you all will be adding new positions for your harems, adding some 3-some positions for you to play with, and adding the NPCs to flesh out the town. So it will be 3 months of lighter updates for you but it will be building up to a HUGE update that will be adding an entire new town, a world map, teleportation circles, the creation of a branch merc group, and a new lady to bring home for your harem. If you scroll way down in the messages you will see the ladies that are planned for each area, I will also be making a poll after I release the Beta 1 update. That will stay live for 2 weeks where you will get the info for each new girl that is tied to each area so you can vote for where we go next.
