Bear X Axis and Hemera news

I have published some part of the new Bear X axis in the dev branch. This includes the new X ends and new X carriage, you can find them here:
https://github.com/gregsaun/bear_extruder_and_x_axis/tree/dev/printed_parts

New Features of X ends and X carriage:

Keep in mind those files are still a work in progress and they might change slightly before the official release.

I prepared a little guide for the E3D Hemera on Bear X axis. You can access it here if you are curious to see how assembly goes :
https://guides.bear-lab.com/c/r63d85yfkvrohzf1

Note: the X axis guide is not reflecting the new X ends yet.

Enjoy :)

PS: don't judge the print quality of my parts in the guide, they are very bad :D

Yes there are lots of differences. If we stick to geometry differences we have: extruder higher up on the X axis, Pinda position, extruder height, hotend fan is taking more place. I personally prefer the geometry of MK2S extruder.

Hi Greg. Compare the mk2s to the mk3s extruder and X axis, beside of the end-switch and stopper, is there any other difference between them?

Chip

i did check the first link on github and and has only stl files, thats why im asking :-))

Christos Goulas

I think if you check the stl folder on github, there are notes to each stl file- from a quick glance, the axis ends have some protrusions to, and I quote ,'' increase space for hemera'' , improvements for the cable guide on the carriage, and a kinematic tensioner for the belt idler- whaterver that means- fancy stuff.
