2025-08-11 20:37:26 +0000 UTCTeddy is the main producer for most Blackpink songs so you can kind of tell the flow of the songs are similar that usually fits the specific image BP and their company YG ent has been going for. Idols especially when they first debut usually don’t have much creative control and especially during that generation of kpop. Not necessarily a fan of it but he’s worked with other groups where he’s deviated from that and showed he can be versatile and creative. So I don’t think BP songs are everyone’s cup of tea but they do have catchy hooks that has helped them to gain fans and be where they are now. Their company also controlled when and how much they would release in a year and is on brand or known by everyone in the industry to take long breaks between projects. Other kpop entertainment companies are more consistent with it though. Some context for you all :)
