Added 2023-04-21 12:32:54 +0000 UTC Got a couple of those isometric drawings in this episode. A lotta folks seem to get a kick out of them. I don't know why they take me so darn long to do, but I guess the result is pretty alright.
The king! Man, I already dislike this guy lol. Doesn't it seem a little rude that the king can just show up anytime and take control of a fort? Poor Vabok was the one who rose this place from the ground. I suppose he might be happy about this turn though, as long as he gets the respect he needs!
Damn artifacts! Another subject that takes a long, long time for me to draw. That being said, I do like seeing the result most of the time. The ones in this episode were particularly complex, eh?

I also wanted to say how much I love the isometric drawings during the video. It's ads that 3 dimensional visual that dwarf fortress can struggle with. I'd love to see more concepts of what the whole bridge looks like from the outside too.
2023-04-21 22:15:39 +0000 UTCIt would be a shame if the king fell off the bridge… Someone should really install guard rails. Not saying you should repeat Scorchfountain, but I know in my games immigrant nobility tend to have improbable accidents.
