I didn't mind the eliminators but think they would have worked better if they were done round 1 instead. Like, as a way of determining who is worthy to join the areana

Could all this have been the Giga-brain move of the great Kruggsmash? To introduce a controversial feature to drive engagement? Truly the masterstroke of an incredible bastard.

My thoughts on the Eliminators are mixed. They're an interesting concept but it seems a little unfair to drop a challenger into a pit of four of them on their own. My personal thought is that they could be added to a proper arena in a similar manner to something like the House Robots from Robot Wars. You could have them in the corners of a stage (locked behind doors or something) and after a small amount of time or if a fighter enters the Eliminator's "territory" they could be released into the fray to make fights more interesting. just a thought.

Honestly it's part of the story. I know people get invested, but c'mon now. I do have a hairbrained idea that Krugg is leaning in on the heel aspect of the narrator in case he actually gets in the arena this year. We'll see!

Just came back from the weeping hallway, and boy, is there a lot of weeping!

I'm not sure it's "constructive" as such, but I honestly love any and all content that keeps the creation of it fun, engaging and not draining for you, Krugg! No one that does anything similar to this comes to mind, and I think there's always so much heart and soul poured both into concepts and art. If there's anyone complaining (in a mean way), they're both shortsighted and spoiled.

Am I the only one who thinks maybe this was all planned from the start and krugg knew nobody would like the eliminators and its all part of an elaborate plot? 😅

I'm with Kyle - we aren't owed anything, and "fair" was explicitly not the focal point. Life flips coins and screws us all over at times. That said... the mob of protesters is kind of hard to ignore, and their gripe is understandable. Ah well, you win some, you bludgeon some to death with four iron golems.

As a DM for a number of years I'd file it under good idea, slight misstep in execution. I'd likely have had two of those that attack more closely. More than enough for a weaker opponent to lose to, but more likely for a good one on the block to escape with their life. But I don't use hindsight as a beatstick. Decisions of anyone that creates are not to be judged after the fact.

I'm a little on the fence. I'm yet to see criticism of it that I don't think is accurate. However as a rule I would always side with a content creator. I'm not 'owed' a type of video, and neither are 99% of the other views.

I liked the eliminators. Just having bouts of one on one duels forever in splatterface will grow stale, so mixing it up with some team fights and pitting the fighters against hordes of monsters is a fun way to mix it up. Half the fighters should be eliminated each round, and insted of just eliminating them with a coin toss, giving them a minuscule chance of survival was a fun extra idea. I loved the episode a lot and i hope your not scared of from mixing more with the format going forward. (sorry English is not my first language)
