Dwarf Fortress Short Forts: The Dawn of Thunderskull

(The dumb thumbnail is broken, I know)

In a cavern deep below the world's skin, a dusty cave wall is marred with ash. The image's form is that of some great antlered beast. An icon from a distant world.

Today, we take a look at the "Primal mod" by Enemy Post  as well as a random metal generator by Upset Alchemist. If we do things right, we should be seeing a bunch of new prehistoric creatures and some exotic new metals in this short, short fort. Excitement!

Hey I hope you guys liked this thing. If you did, North dog would love to hear from you I'm sure: https://ko-fi.com/rudo

Dinosaurs! <3 I'd love to see a longer run on the Primal mod, really explore it and the new beasties it introduces. I know that was what you'd intended and that lava blob sort of put paid to that early on, but I think there's a lot of potential here for different and interesting stories.

I actually was somewhat disappointed with this episode. Drawing were great, story was too, but I expected full blown prehistoric mod with rough tools and even rougher furniture, "armour" and all that jazz. No metal, stone age.

It was awesome to be able to collaborate on such a big project!

Just coming onto patreon mid watch to say I love NorthDogs guest art! Your art holds a special place in my heart Kruggsmash, but its great to see more artists getting a chance in the spotlight.

I love the isometric drawing of the cavern fort at 12:10. It looks so neat and cool. Edit after watching the whole episode: I just loved this one. So fun and relaxed and North dog's art style is just so perfect for this episode.
