Aesthetically, Bleb the trader is my favorite character in anything i've done.

You can get masks on Ebay for pretty cheap. If you like Japanese Noh masks you should also look into Balinese masks, they have about the same feel though the Balinese masks are more elaborate while Japanese Noh masks are more simple at first glance. As they're intended for Noh theater they are designed to give an optical illusion of a changing expression depending on what angle the mask is facing, it's really interesting stuff. But yeah I find the Balinese masks to be most similar to the Japanese Hannya mask in design.

A little inspiration from him would go well with this series. Wayne Barlowe would be a good source of inspiration too. Heavy Light, The Art of De Es would be a good source for you too in this series, maybe dwarf fortress in general. You said you already take inspiration from Dougal Dixon yeah?
