Kruggsmash Draws & Q+A

*Reminder*: I'm only doing this Q&A because i'm planning the next long series which is to begin next week. Exciting!

Hey y'bastards. Today we have a bit of a lighter video (due to preparations for the next long series) where I get some work done on a background project and answer some questions. Hopefully I haven't answered too many of these in the past already. I tend to forget!

Kruggsmash Draws & Q+A

I'd do inking for you, if you ever get to the point you want to higher an inker.

The gist of the system is that the audience are sorted into factions, with leaders. The leader or leaders discuss what the faction wants to do with the faction as a whole, what they want and what their goals are. Each week or month these leaders report their factions desires to the person running the game, who enacts the will of each faction. The system is from the tabletop RPG 'Stars Without Number' and is pretty in depth, but I think a version of this sort of system could work for you. Something like sorting participating audience members into guilds, having guilds amongst themselves deciding upon what issues are most pressing, and the leader reporting back to you of the guilds concerns each week. I think with some workshopping, this could reach a good balance between being fun for your audience, and not consume too much of your time to manage. :) Adam Koebel on YouTube has a series of videos called Far Verona Faction Turns, which are videos where he plays out the actions decided upon by the player factions. In this video he explains his connection to the system, how the system works, and then performs the initial setup for his sci-fi game: RollPlay: Far Verona || Rules Review || Faction Turns https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QOCPDRtw368 Stars Without Number, including the faction rules can be found here: https://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/230009/Stars-Without-Number-Revised-Edition-Free-Version This system is often compared to Diplomacy, the board game: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diplomacy_(game)

Hey Kruggsmash! This Q&A has been a really chill art video, and it's been really nice hearing you talk conversationally with your audience. :) On your response to Ethan Smith's question, about mass sponsoring dwarves in guilds, I've seen a similar idea played out as a politics or diplomacy style game to be the background or setting of a sci-fi role-playing game on YouTube, and it was fascinating to watch! If you would like, I would be happy to give you a little write up of what it was like or some links to videos on it. :)
