Added 2019-10-18 10:01:00 +0000 UTC Wow, I really did have a great time with these pics. I'm sure there aren't that many super mario fans out there but I really so again, I thank you for letting me indulge myself a bit with this.
Considering that a lot of these characters are established enemies from the Mario franchise, I really tried to keep them as close to the originals as I could. Some of these things didn't have any references other than the pixelated enemies from the old games so I had to get as close as I could to the games overall design. Was a fun challenge!

Oh, you just gotta retire your dwarf in an area then reclaim it in fort mode. Sometimes the adventurer won't stay at the location though! Also, sometimes there will be some wackiness. Like how mosus in honeystoker wasn't considered to be a part of the fort. Yeah, it can be a little funky.

2019-10-19 12:27:52 +0000 UTCThanks, Liam. Glad you liked it! I have been thinking about a couple other mods lately, actually. There's the "Primal" mod which i've never played. I guess it gets rid of all fantasy elements (elves, dwarves etc.) and just keeps humans. It also adds in all sorts of prehistoric beasts like wooly mammoths and even dinosaurs. Sounds like a blast! Also recently i've talked with a fella named "Squamous" and we've been *kinda* toying around with a cyberpunk mod for DF. Pretty much just base DF with advanced civs of dwarves, humans, goblins, elves (of course) and even kobolds, ogres, trolls, satyr and others too I think. Also adds in robots, guns, polymer armor. That sort of stuff. Pretty cool!!

2019-10-19 12:22:17 +0000 UTCHey Kruggs, I know this is off topic for the thread, but it would be really neat to know how you switched from adventure mode to fortress mode and back, getting your adventurers to go to a fortress they "founded". I've currently got a spear-dwarf adventurer who cleaned out a cyclops infestation from a ruin, and id like to 'reclaim' the ruin with dwarves then go back to adventuring with my heroic eye-poking dwarven spearman.
