Short Forts - WaterKeeper (Fun with Aquifers)

Ah hello, and welcome to Waterkeeper! Today, we visit a small woodland fortress built on the bank of a winding river. Our goal: To tame the river and the aquifer beneath!

(Note: I have little to no experience with aquifers...so prepare for fun!)

Thanks so much for all your help, guys. Really could not do anything without you!

In an effort to save time in the future, i'm going to start trying to draw background pictures that I can slip into scenes. The pine trees in this PARTICULAR episode got me realizing how much time I spend on drawing tiny, tiny details and I really HAVE TO figure something out to help save some time.

I think the layered effect works pretty well actually and makes some pics look like they're 3d or something. I dunno, lemme' know what you fellas think :)

Never having even TRIED dealing with an aquifer myself, I'm just wondering if you built a tall cyclindrical tower on top of a "plug" area and drop that. Would the tower survive and provide a way to breach the levels of aquifer? I'm imagining a "straw" poking through the sodden earth (with a staircase down the centre).

Heck yeah! I'm always trying ti find ways to maximize my efficiency, and THIS little trick will help a LOT I think :)

Agree 100% that coming up with some standard backgrounds will allow you to spend more time on the foreground, which is what everyone is focusing on anyway. Plus, when you're in the mood (as opposed to under the gun) you can always add more alternate backgrounds to your repetOIre.
