Your First Fortress: A Dwarf Fortress Crash Course

Hello and welcome to Dwarf Fortress! Often touted as being the "Hardest game ever" or some such nonsense, Dwarf Fortress can seem like a daunting mountain to climb! But today my friend, I will try my best to guide you through some of the lowest foothills and set you on the path to playing this great simulation like a pro!

Well, here it is y'bearded bastards! There are soooo many things I wanted to put in, but just didn't have time for! S'all good though, when I first started playing DF, I only really started getting into it after I was able to make my very first, tiny/crappy fortress. So, that's what i've attempted to do with this video: give people the tools to make their very first crappyfort!

One of the parts that I had REALLY wanted to put into this video, was a segment about the mindset I try to take on while playing, but again I just could find a place for it. I might give that idea it's own video one day, but I guess we'll see!
