I've really looked forward to drawing this sequence. When I think about why I made this comic, I point to pages like this, with Chai at every disadvantage and having already gotten a taste of what happens if he fails. It's as unfair as it gets. And not only does he still decide to fight but he somehow wins.

I considered having part of Chai's scarf burn up here but... neh, not yet... not yet. ARM-D11 really is the OG here though. Already took care of two KEM0N0s for Chai.

I specifically left ARM-D11 for last (apart from the fact that it inadvertently took the others down) because it’s the one where Chai would need a proper plan to kill it, rather than a well timed jump. He better avoid a bite from it though or he’ll be needing more robot limbs.

I really like the poses and expressions, and the lighting here is great! Definitely one of my favorite scenes so far, like you said, the way Chai has been through so much but still has the determination to keep fighting is so good. I really wasn't expecting the ARM-D11 to (unintentionally) take out the big baddie first, especially after the reveal that it can talk. Although, it did fix itself the first time... but surely it's too damaged now, right? I just can't imagine things are quite over with whoever or whatever was speaking before. The ARM-D11 is more of a threat with the Z-Shielding though, unless Chai can pull off his initial plan to take it down or figure out some other way to get past it. And poor 808! But even when injured she's still gonna help out her partner, such a good kitty. Edit: Adding on to this cause I was real tired yesterday, but I'm glad we didn't lose the scarf just yet, I love how dynamic it looks! It is a bit of a combat hazard, but getting pulled/choked by your scarf doesn't sound so bad if the alternative is having your limbs bitten. Or if it grabs the cables from his arm instead, not gonna be pretty.
