Any advice guys? ....
Added 2021-09-04 10:02:55 +0000 UTCHi guys, I'm working on v2 heavily this weekend and plan is to implement the edit media screen (where you can add tags, modify title, rate, posters etc). The one in v1 does the job but its slow and clunky in my opinion and doesn't meet todays slick UI/UX standards for users.
I ultimately want to make the control available directly on the main screen for those with larger screen setups and have the space so I need it to be pretty simple to use and fast to interact with.
I've started as screenshot shows, it allows you to type directly into the filename/title and also to use the new tagging controls. Even now though I'm wondering that by the time I add date and rating this control starts to become "busy". I'm thinking I might have just one single tag control where if you double click a tag or hit space bar then it will cycle through the tag options i.e. Primary, Secondary, Tertiary, Coded, In Title and colour based on this for easy. It will make it a "one stop" tagging control which can then be also made available as a quick edit in the main screen.
However, if you guys have any other ideas that might be better, or you've seen something elsewhere that works well please let me know. Now we're in v2 and with better UI flexibility I can generally develop ANY control I want so options are limitless with this tech.
