A Pornspective Update

Hi Guys,

I've not been as frequent on my posts recently but nevertheless still been busy working on both Pornspective 1.11.1 and the eagerly awaited v2. I'll soon be posting both of these for you to download in early September.

Pornspective 1.11.1 has the ability to detect posters and covers that are stored alongside the videos and have the same name as the video file. This was a request from one of the users which I've implemented. I've also fixed a couple of bugs.

Most of the work though has been on v2, it's still very much in a prototype stage but I'm knocking of the functionality pretty quickly now. In fact over the weekend I've managed to create both the thumbnail and bookmark editor screens (this took me around 2 weeks on the first v1) so I'm definitely benefiting from reuse of code! Also I've now built the location editor admin screen. I've included some screenshots on this post.

I guess main question is what is remaining to do on v2 before I release as more than just a prototype. Well, firstly I've decided to put the language translation stuff to the back of the queue as this was really slowing me down, I've got the functionality in place to do this for most of screens but will concentrate first version on simply getting the screens built first and then v2.1 will have me tidy up the language and ask for help from you guys to translate.

So here is what I've left to do :-

1. Scanning and saving. This I hope is going to be a quick job to turn on, I've just disabled it as it stands on purpose so if you try prototype you can't break your collection.

2. Admin screens for Browsers and Plugins. These are the two hardest things I've got left to do.

3. Kodi control in the media player (I'm considering moving this to v2.1 as I'm not sure that many users use this, let me know!)

4. Downloading and plugin interactions i.e. tag downloads and content downloads. I want these to appear using the Netflix style controls.

5. AI integration (like I've just done for v1 and seamlessly calling the AI tool)

6. Actress detail screen (I wanted to rethink this one a bit as I don't like the current detail screen in v1, it doesn't give value other than looking pretty)

7. Content editor screen (I wanted to make this slicker and easier to complete/edit content)

8. Playlist config and editing.

9. Licensing functionality. (I'm going to improve this so its more stable).

So a few things still to do but definitely got the majority of the app developed. It looks so much better than v1 and the media player is 1000% better than v1. So really keen to get this out to you all as soon as I can. In the meantime I'll still release a prototype for you to use, you can actually have it running alongside v1 and use it as a viewer/media player so there is value already from it.
