Pornspective v2 and AI GPU Progess ...

Hi Guys, I'm concious I've not posted for a couple of weeks with progress on v2 and a general update. So here's an update ..

I've been putting a lot of time into v2 as you'd expect and I've completed the media player with support for images and imagesets. The player can now play both videos and images in your collection.

I then moved onto the biggest job which was to replace my admin screens i.e. adding tags, adding locations etc. The easist thing in the world to do was bring the old forms into the new version however I felt that this would be cutting corners and really it needed to be redeveloped inline with the v2 app with such features as language and those new style controls which you see in the new design. I also wanted to take the opportunity to make these screens a little slicker.

I therefore have spent most of the time creating a framework for the admin section. I've used some clever techniques to put all the complex logic (i.e. editing, reverting, validation etc) in a shared library. This means I'm now rattling through the admin screens at speed and able to produce them pretty quick with all the new features.

One area I wasn't happy with is the way you can specify tags, for example the inheritted tags when editing a tag. So I've produced a tag control which allows you to very quickly add tags and remove them. I've embedded this in the Edit Tag screen but will be going on to use it in other places such as Edit Media and timeline tagging in the Media Player. The new control can be seen in one of the screenshots attached to this post.

You'll also see there is a drag and drop zone. The new v2 will have much more drag and drop style functionality and will be easy to spot where these can be used with coloured controls at the top right of screens where it is active.

Overall I'm getting close to an MVP for v2 meaning its starting to get enough functionality to class itself as a real release. I think with around five to six weeks more work it will be close to the v1 release in terms of functionality. I'm going to release another build of it this week so you can see the new functionality.

In terms of Pornspective AI, I'll release the GPU version for all this week too. Many have tested it for me and majority have got it working with the hardware they have. I may have to create two builds as I do know some with newer NVIDIA cards were still getting errors and I think it needs the latest library for them. A BIG THANK YOU TO ALL THOSE THAT HAVE HELPED TEST THIS, I REALLY COULDN'T HAVE DONE IT WITHOUT YOU GUYS!!!!

Finally for the v1, I'll be also adding a new version this week. This will solve an issue with importing AI results (license error) and hopefully fix an issue that has just been reported with IAFD plugin searches where IAFD have moved to cloudflare and checking the validity of the request and detecting its not a browser.
