Pornspective v2 - First Prototype

Hi Guys, I've been super busy on v2 this last few weeks and got all the foundations in place to start copying the functionality over from the main application. I've used the opportunity to get some things right which I wasn't happy with on v1. This included taking all of the main logic into the core library and away from the UI so that I can easily create an API service later on, it also includes slicker UI handling meaning a much faster and smooth interface. Whilst I was there I've added language support as I know so many of my followers are from Europe, Russia and beyond.

However the main improvement I wanted to ensure I could make was around the media player. I really started to dislike my original media player, it looked basic and clunky. So this is the first place I started after the main application window was complete. I wanted a smooth player that felt part of the main application, so that's what I've made sure I've done.

So here is a build of the new v2 prototype for you guys to have a play with and let me know what you think. You will need to have v1 installed and a library setup, v2 is essentially a readonly version and a media player in this first prototype release. It has all of the engine underneath but I've yet to wire it up. I want you guys to have a play with the media player and let me know if you see it as a big improvement on the original.

The prototype won't save or edit your collections yet, neither are you able to modify any of the settings under actions i.e. create tags. You still need to do all this in v1, however v2 will let you filter, sort and search your collection in the same way as v1 and then play the videos you wish to see. Futhermore each time you play a video you'll notice it is added to a playlist to show you how playlists are now supported in the player (these will become a main feature in the v2 app). So here's what we have :-

1. Ability to sort, search and filter the main screen.

2. Ability to view Extended View List and Extended View List with Tag Details.

3. Language support for Russian, French and German. (more will be added later and I've used Google to translate so will need help to polish the translations)

4. A fully functional media player with hardware acceleration.

5. Aspect Ratio, Playback Speed and Deinterlace mode added.

6. Playlists available meaning you can jump from video to video of play a list of videos. Playlists also have the support of playing just sections of a video i.e. 2mins to 5mins. This will allow you in the future to create compilations or even ask Pornspective to create a compilation based on timed tag ranges. I can see this being used for money shot compilations of your favourite actresses.

7. Auto repeat will cycle throught the play list over and over.

8. Bookmarks now include Timed Tags, meaning I am close to supporting tags with a time element associated (this can be a point in time or a time range and is demoed by showing a random one I've created on your videos as a preview 20%-30% position).

9. Fullscreen mode supported.

10. Skip ahead 10 seconds or 60 seconds, and same backwards.

11. Smoother tracker bar control.

12. Overlays showing the details of the video as a means to make the media player feel part of the main app.

13. Context menu on the player for quicker access to settings and options.

14. Hide the controls on the player and they will automatically appear as you hover over the bottom part of the screen.

NOTE: YOU MAY NEED TO INSTALL MICROSOFT.NET 5.0 DESKTOP RUNTIME, this is the newest library from Microsoft for .NET which the new version v2 has moved to.
