Added 2021-02-25 23:07:18 +0000 UTCHi Guys, a bit of an update. So this week I've managed to move all of the core logic code to .NET 5.0 which is an open source and multiplatform code base. This is a pretty big step and looks like all of the code is working! Furthermore I've managed to do this whilst still maintaining the same code of v1. This means work on logic will benefit both v1 and v2 until v2 is polished enough to step into the shoes of the original.
The beauty of the new version will be WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation), this means a faster and slicker UI that I can really start to expand on with some artistic flair and introduce a user experience which just wasn't possible with the original version.
I've headed with quick screenshot on this post so you can see what v2 might look like. This is just an out of the box layout, I'm planning on allowing you all more choice on how you layout the application to make most of those larger screen sizes. But as you can see, this next version will be even more polished with the UI whilst at the same time simplifying the code and getting rid of those little niggly things that always bugged me with the original.
In the meantime I'll keep posting some visuals, happy for feedback!
