Getting my Ducks in a row

Hi guys, just wanted to give you all an update on progress. I'm getting lots of messages from you all regarding the good work on the AI stream, thank you! It's really encouraging and a boost to know that many of you are truly excited by the AI work.  I'll therefore start with an update on AI. This week I've refactored the engine for this, essentially now I know it works, I've spent more time to tidy up the code and make it structured. When you first prototype something you don't waste time on making it perfect because it could end up in the bin, but now I'm confident we have a good solution I've gone onto adding the polish.

The main work I've done is to make the functionality much more configurable by introducing metadata associated with the AI models. This means that in the future we can have several AI models and you choose which is best suited to your collection, for example "mainstream", "gay", "S&M" etc. Models can then be trained to spot different appearances and actions. The metadata will also allow me to build the second part of the AI which ultimately works out if its happy there is enough evidence to suggest a certain act or appearance is in a scene. In the metadata we'll be able to tweak the thresholds for detection for example I'm finding its more accurate with certain acts and not with others so we need to take this into account.

Secondly with the AI work I'm training more models, this is a time consuming process so I'm doing this when I'm looking to get a break from code. I'm introducing some more tags in the next model to see how it fairs, including hair colour.

I'm conscious though that the main application still needs some love and attention. I'm therefore also looking to extend the plugin functionality and bring in better ways of showing latest information on actresses and studios. I want to give a complete picture of an actress for example regardless of the content you have. So you might be a collector of Riley Reid and want to see all the films and scenes she appears in and whether you have them or not. Equally you want to be prompted when new material appears. I'm therefore introducing some new screens in the new Netflix style with information from a collection of plugins. I'll also be adding some new plugins, P0rnTeenG1rl will be one of them with the actresses info and content and now P0rnhub seems to have tightened to official actresses I'll look to pull from there too.

Some of these features are now all starting to come together, i.e. the AI and more info in the main application. This week I'll put out a new post to explain the roadmap for Pornspective and hopefully give you an idea of where all this is heading, some pretty cool stuff will be introduced over the coming months I think.
