Pornspective 1.9.1

It's that time of the month again guys, another Pornspective release to enjoy. It's been a pretty tough month having to cope with Covid-19 in the family but I'm pleased to say all is now well and I've still managed to get a good release out.

⦁ NEW FEATURE: Ability to now create your own Browser links on the left hand side bar. These allow the new Netflix style browser, or if you prefer a preset filter that can be applied to the classic view. The Netflix style browsers come in two options, a tag based version or a content based version. Tag based is used for showing top actresses, studios, actions etc, i.e. anything related to a tag. The content based is used for latest content, content of a certain type or even a lucky dip using the random sort option.

I've included some screenshots with this post to give you some ideas of how to configure your menus.

⦁ NEW FEATURE: Ability to drag a folder location or more than one location into the "Edit Locations" form. This allows you to quickly add new locations for scanning. This is especially useful when you need to create many locations to scan at once.

⦁ ENHANCEMENT: The new Netflix broswers have lazy loading meaning not all images are loaded at once so the browsers are displayed quicker. The remaining images are then loaded later once the browser is opened.

⦁ ENHANCEMENT: For those with higher resolution setups and powerful machines to the applicaton I've added the ability to override the image sizes that are created for several items as larger setups will most likely see items looking a bit blocky. The config files are editable directly, however I suggest you backup first and only change these if you are confident. If you open a file explorer and locate the following folder

%appdata%/../local/Pornspective

You will then see the config files, edit the PornspectiveConfig.1.3.0.0 file to alter the image sizes. If you change any to ensure the app still looks great, please maintain the same ratio of width to height (so you might need to calculate this!). Also note that larger images will take more memory and will need more computer power, so please don't create images too large. The following entries are changeable :-

strip: This is the width and height of the thumbnails taken from the videos when scanning. Note you will need to make this change on a brand new system with no content first.

thumbnails: This is the size of thumbnails created for image content. Note you will need to make this change on a brand new system with no content first.

tagthumbnails: This is the size of thumbnails for tags. This is used on the choosers, i.e. list of actresses popping up. You will need to redo your tag images though once you've changed this.

tagimages: This is the size of the image for tags. This is used on the detail screen and represents the image of the tag when you upload. You will need to redo your tag images though once you've changed this.

tagfanart: This is the size of the fan art for the tags. This is used on the detail screen and represents the backdrop. You will need to redo your tag images though once you've changed this.

posters: This is the size of the posters when downloading cover art from the internet. 

browsertagimages: This is the size of the tag images used on the new Netflix browsers. This can be changed without having to redo any tags.

browsercontentimages: This is the size of the content images used on the new Netflix browsers. This can be changed without having to rescan videos or images.
