Question
Added 2022-10-11 14:51:43 +0000 UTCHey guys! So I just finished filming the CUOK and I had a question regarding Crush's MV. I wanted to come to you and ask your opinion about whether it would be fitting to leave my reaction to the song in the video or not.
If you're not aware, Crush was accused (maybe not the right word?) of skipping giving high 5 to 2 women of color during a festival performance. He put out an explanation/apology on Insta but it hasn't been well received from what I could gather.
I actually bring up the topic in my video and try to open a discussion because to be honest, it made me uncomfortable and when I'm feeling this way I prefer having a constructive conversation rather than blocking it and sweeping it under the rug you know. Naturally I also explained that by checking that MV it didn't mean that I was supporting him and his actions but still I'm unsure how to proceed with this so I'm asking you.
Please let me know and thank you all in advance ❤️

Worth pointing out that there's recently been an argument made in Crush's defense that includes a soundbite of him supposedly warning fans to back up out of concern for their safety. I'm on the fence and mostly just confused about who is right now but I feel like both sides should at least be looked at now that there could be evidence contradicting the first video

Reactions to MV'S rarely hurt artists but it sometimes benefits them by offering free promo which is why it could potentially be seen as support whether or not you clarify that it's not your intention. However, addressing the situation in your video and why you don't feel comfortable including his MV could open up a constructive discussion without making it seem like you're ignoring what's going on. That's just my thought on it.
