Hello Patrons and happy Friday! I hope you have had a wonderful week, a lovely summer solstice, that it hasn’t been too hot or too pollen-y for you!
I had a very eventful start to this week that sadly resulted in a cold through the end of the week. After a very busy weekend I spent much of the week training for a new part time barista job at a local cafe (to help stop my gradual descent down through my savings.) Between recovering from my cold and training at the cafe, I’ve only been able to squeeze in a little bit of art, sadly.

The biggest project I worked on was preparing for my 500 Follower Giveaway on instagram! (Instagram.com/ragonia_ to enter!) I’m not sure if I mentioned this but I recently reached 500 followers on Instagram, which I feel like is an exciting milestone! A common tradition for art social media accounts is to host a free giveaway at milestones like this. It’s a good way to say thank After working on the Cowboy Boomer commission I was really eager to put more opportunities out for Pet Portraits, so I decided to giveaway two pet portraits!
I took a half a day to make two example portraits based off of pets that I know and love from the internet. Marnie the dog and fellow illustrator Frannerd’s (Fran Meneses) cats Hamburguesa and Cereal.

The giveaway closes tonight, so if you’re on Instagram go check it out!
I didn’t work on much more art this week unfortunately, besides testing and glueing together the handmade pins. Here’s to a more productive (and healthier) week next week!
Non-Art Life:
Zach and I attended our first wedding on Saturday, and had a truly lovely time drinking wine, meeting more of the couples’ friends, talking about DnD, and dancing, lots of dancing. So sweet, so beautiful. What can I say, I’m a romantic.
Shout out to DayQuil, Choicd Organic Breathing Space tea, and my homemade chickpea noodle soup for carrying me through the week.
As I’ve been healing from my cold, I have definitely been binge watching more Jane the Virgin. Zach and I also watched the first two episodes of the second season of Queer Eye, and it’s fun as sweet and inspiring as the first season (and very on theme with Pride Month!)
Sorry for the uneventful week, friends, I wish I had more to share. Please let me know if there’s any aspect of my art, business, or life that you’d like me to go more in to detail with. I’d love to write an in-depth article on something, but I’d love to write it on something your interested in.
Have a lovely, healthy, and happy first weekend of summer!
xoxo
