Market Buns Process!

So after two weeks of being self-employed, my five year old laptop died. Which means I had to buy a computer, but instead.... I bought an iPad Pro!
This isn't ideal, but it means that I can work in an app called Procreate and begin to work on digital painting. MUCH more on that later.
Right now I’ve been able to finish two of the patterns in my first pattern project! I've been teaching myself about pattern design and slowly learning so much about color and shape and the file systems In creating repeating patterns. I have so much more to learn, but I’ve been having such a good time.
This video is the fun unedited timelapse video that Procreate automatically makes any time you make a digital piece with the software! It shows a pretty good representation of about a third of the process that goes in to making a pattern like this.
What I’ve learned with this design:
I really love designing little stories around characters in illustrations. I like to make what feels like a small world you’re looking in to.
How to save files throughout the process to prevent file degradation.
How to structure a repeating pattern using grids.
That I don't love the cutesy/traditional style of this pattern. I want to work with something funkier, less colors, more modern.
