That reason being, he is just too kind and looks too 'BIG' in the eyes of everybody around him. For him to have a normal relationship, it will be very hard for any girl that will try to be with him (unless they really don't care about him and only care about his fame), to actually have a good relationship that will last unless the girl can try to work out their insecurities together, as a couple, to actually have a possibility of something that might last.

It would have been better to actually see what she was thinking before she said all that in this chapter, but to begin with I was never that into their relationship so there's that. Other than that, I can't wait for the next chapter and you're doing great like always.

Luke also said that she has a peterpan syndrome where she refused to grow up. Now I'm really considering of rewriting the chap again lol.
