Man, that was REALLY interesting at the end there! That was messed up in a really fascinating way. I like that the indomitability of the human spirit was implied, rather than stated outright--no matter what those people did to the wise man and his caretaker, they couldn't eradicate their spirits completely. I like that. It dovetails nicely with my own beliefs.
