Kino's Journey episode 3 part 2!

Well, that’s an odd spot to end the episode on. I’ve gathered that each episode is self-contained, too, and not a direct continuation of the previous one. That’s an interesting way to end it--not answering the question of what would happen directly (especially since there’s not a damn thing Kino and Hermes could do to influence the outcome) but rather leaving the audience to think about what’s happening and why.

You know, I think I like that a lot.

All this mess could have been avoided if those people hadn’t taken it upon themselves to continue the chant. All it did was make them suffer! Directly! There must have been some magical compulsion to continue and spread the chant involved with the curse. Otherwise some enterprising fellow would have likely just killed the poet or his daughter and ended the curse, since everyone knew what the cause of it was.

How sad this all ended up being.

Well, that’s it for Kino for now. Up next is going to be the second half of episode 1 of Fooly Cooly! We’ll be starting that on Friday. In the meantime, I’m going to go get some sleep and stream some Persona 5 tomorrow.
