Infinity Train episode 12--The Family Tree Car!

Well! A new team has formed! A passenger, a denizen, and…a magical, unintelligent deer…? I’m just going to suspend my disbelief and allow them to gloss over how they get it to go from place to place.
An interesting team, definitely. I’m not sure it’s as fun and interesting as Tulip, Atticus, and One-One, but that’s a high bar to clear, so I’ll reserve judgment until I actually get to see it in action a few more times.
The episode itself was fun! It had a couple REALLY good laughs and great character establishment for Jesse, but it didn’t have a lot of what I loved about my favorite Infinity Train episodes (great drama and horror ontop of being funny). It just didn’t really pull out of the pack. Granted, that’s a GOOD pack–there’s no episodes of Infinity Train I actually dislike, and only a couple that I’d call “just okay”–but it still comes in in the bottom half of the series for me.
As a result, The Family Tree Car comes in at my new #2 for Season 2, below The Black Market Car, and my new #9 for the series, between The Beach Car and The Grid Car.
Up next is going to be the first liveblog of June, which means we’re starting the Patron Picks once again! I’ll be starting Paranoia Agent episode 10 on Monday.
