And I don't think you need to worry about the author changing characters to be bi, I think it was only done for this scene to build up to a possible 3 way between them. I also don't think it's gonna be a harem relationship considering the author said that Edd would only have one girl at a time.

I personally don't understand the appeal in seeing someone you have feelings for or are dating, kissing someone else, even if it's another girl, honestly it really confuses me. This whole yuri thing came out of nowhere so I can't say I enjoy the development, but it's definitely not something to drop this over. Still, I hope the author doesn't magically turn the girls bi just to make a relationship between the 3 work, because they clearly aren't and have shown no signs of being interested in girls. Just my opinion on it though. (I used to be a member of the anti-yuri brigade on WN, but i've mellowed and don't mind if it stays in the harem now lmao)

If your asking why webnovel morons would think this is the mc cucking himself then it's because Edd has obvious feelings for both of these girls and them kissing would "cuck" him because he's not actively involved. At least thats what dumb readers would think. Now the homophobic thing is because I've seen soooo many people complain and drop books because there is even a hint of yuri in it. (Even though that's the best part) But like I said, I'm completely fine with this type of development.
