Steven Universe Future episode 19--I Am My Monster!

…Man. I’ve been saying “He’s finally breaking down! He’s finally breaking through! He’s finally going to let it out!” for so long that it’s almost surreal to see it actually happen this time. Steven’s tears are well-earned. The love he’s receiving is well-needed, and well-earned, and it’s been too long without an active amount of love instead of a passive amount of love. He needed this, and it’s SO good to see those tears finally flow. A good cry will clean him out and let him get coherent again in a way that will let him figure out how to begin healing, and the love from those around him is going to be a huge part of that.
And Connie. Connie, capping off the outpouring of love and faith. Connie, sealing it with a kiss. Connie, who tipped him over the edge back into physical humanity. God, I love their relationship. It’s so good. It’s so good! It’s such a good pairing! I love it! I hope we get a glimpse into their future next episode.

Back to the present, I Am My Monster comes in at my new #4 for Season 6 (between Volleyball and Bismuth Casual) and my new #19 overall (between Change Your Mind and Mr. Greg). That marks the fourth episode from Future to crack the top 20. Good stuff this season. Really, really good stuff.
