She-Ra episode 10 part 2--The Beacon!

Well! Lots of setup in this one. This was mostly just an in-transit episode; we’re on our way to a couple things–solving Glimmer’s magical seizures and Adora getting a real primer on her powers–but we didn’t actually do much this episode besides set things up. Entrapta continues to be a delight, and Glimmer and her mom opening up to each other was good, if a little briefer than I would have liked, but mostly this episode suffered from being what’s in between point A and point B. That’s not a bad thing! The episode was a good one! But it doesn’t make for a standout episode, just a solid one..

As a result, The Beacon comes in at my new #4 for the series, between Princess Prom (which was more uneven and had less Entrapta) and The Sword, Part 2 (which was part of the much-more-solid opener to the series).

I’m looking forward to seeing what comes next. However, next for the liveblog is going to be more Steven Universe! We’ll be liveblogging the next episode, Together Forever, on Friday. Next up streamwise will be more Fire Emblem tomorrow, I think. Now that I’ve got almost all the support links done that I want to watch, we’ll be powering through the story more quickly, so expect possibly two chapters tomorrow.
