Steven Universe Future episode 11--In Dreams!

Goodness, that was good. Emotional catharsis, dream editing, and surreal horror, all wrapped up in a Peridot-shaped package? Great stuff.
I really like that Steven is breaking through his trauma and his depression gradually. We saw him confront a little piece of it here, just enough for him to really make progress and connect even more strongly with one of his friends.
I find it interesting that it was Peridot who drew it out of him first. Of all people, Peridot. But then…Peridot and Steven have done so much together, haven’t they. They’re tied together by past experiences in a different way from Steven’s relationships with the other Gems. Sometimes it can take somebody coming at you from a different angle, after all.
It feels like this is the turning point for Steven, a start to him finally actually letting his stress and trauma out so he can deal with it instead of just bottling it up. I’m looking forward to seeing how it goes.
In Dreams comes in at my new #3 for Season 6, between Little Homeschool and Volleyball, and my new #28 overall, between Monster Reunion and Off Colors. That was good stuff.
