She-Ra episode 8 part 2--Princess Prom!

ayyyy literal cliffhanger time

Well! That had its low points for me, but that was a pretty good episode overall. I didn’t enjoy the jealousy drama, but Frosta is an interesting character and the Catra/Adora dynamic really getting focused on made for a really good time.

I really like the nuances in that relationship. They both want the other back, but are unwilling to back down and rejoin the other. The tension between them is really great, and made for the best non-Entrapta parts of the episode.

I’m looking forward to seeing how the rescue mission is going to go, and how Adora rallies the other princesses for it. I am especially looking forward to more Entrapta, but seeing this group together is going to be really fun.

Princess Prom ultimately didn’t reach the heights of the pilot, but it comes in at a close #4 for the series for me, between System Failure (which was more fun when it was good and really awful when it was bad) and The Sword, Part 2.
