We are finally back to dive into the penultimate episode of season two?! The group goes shopping, Isaac works things out with James, Elle's celebrates getting into Lambert and her painting is presented as the centerpiece of an art show, Sahar drops a bomb on Imogen, Charlie puts Ben in his place, Nick comes out to his dad, and Darcy's mom kicks her out. WHAT AN EPISODE.

And I never thought about what a wonderful and natural addition it would be to show Mr. Ajayi and Elle interact. A missed chance. Maybe they were afraid to distract too much from Nick and Charlie? But just two scenes would have been enough!

2024-02-01 20:25:48 +0000 UTCThis was really great, thank you! FWIW, the wave coming to Ben’s feet was just very sad for me. Ben is in some ways a representation of people who know how they feel but are afraid to/can’t come out for some reason, and to me the wave felt like an offering to him…he’s so close, and this is like his last chance to step forward or turn away from his feelings and the community. Ben is in so many ways irredeemable, but I also feel sorry for him that it seems like he’ll never accept who he truly is - that’s sad for anyone whether you’re a good person or not. And I can’t believe no one mentioned the INSANE way he walked when he walked away. Like straight arms, and also on his toes somehow? Weirdest walk I ever saw.
