Steven Universe Future Episode 3--Rose Buds!

That was a good episode. That was a necessary episode. It needed to happen for both the audience and for Steven. I had some issues with the awkwardness, but there was a lot more that needed to happen here that made up for it. In Fusion Cuisine, Steven could have Just Not. In The New Lars, Steven could have Just Not. In both of those cases, Steven deciding to Just Not wouldn’t have robbed us of much, but here…we got a really great character breakthrough and some really great new characters out of it.
I really love Sunshine, you guys. She’s great.
Rose Buds comes in at my new #2 for the season, between Guidance and Little Homeschool, and my new #34 for the series, between Keeping It Together and Adventures in Light Distortion.
Up next for the liveblog is going to be Steven Universe Future episode 4–Volleyball! I’ll be doing that on Monday. I’ll be taking a brief vacation for Christmas next week, so the only liveblogs you’re going to get will be Monday and Friday.
