That's actually pretty cool if ed makes themed songs on different occasions like valentine's day, Halloween and others like he can have love songs on valentine's day and metal/rock on Halloween and just stick with it every year. It could be a cool way to keep fans interested plus its be cool to have him make those songs without anyone questioning if he is depressed or in love cause he can just say they are a yearly thing and made to fit the occasions

If that’s not wish fulfillment I don’t know what is… moreover the author already confirmed that he’ll be doing a crossover with Chuck, which is an action-comedy. What would be the point in him having John wick skills it would subtract with the leading point of this story which is modern family where he wouldn’t need those skills at all and even if he needed to defend himself why go with someone so obviously broken this isn’t wish fulfillment there needs to be progress or at least a basis for growth which none of the people who are asking for fighting attributes are actually caring about the future path of the story but want to make it into something goofy cause you think it’s cool

I have a song suggestion NF - Happy. I feel like this song would work really well with this novel. As i listen to it reminds me of this novel and think it would make sence with the Eds mind and life.

Because I think upvoting it isn't enough to express how much I like this option, I'm also recommending John Wick's skills/experience. That'd be pretty much as badass as you can get without going into superhero territory...

I have a question for the other refer in why does he need to be physically inclined this isn’t a superhero book he isn’t gonna be fighting for his life and he has shown that he is able to fight just fine as he is I personally feel that it would completely throw the story off if he just decided to become a super buff brawler instead of a musician

I agree he needs more of a physical skill that boost physical ability. As for a penalty making him unable to lie or clumsy for a period of time after waking up like an hour or something.

I can say that I don’t really want him to have a lot of what you guys are saying because you are forgetting this isn’t some wish fulfillment book but a story making him have an incredibly overpowered ability would take away the ability to have issues because your forgetting he knows how to fight as shown at the birthday party chapters so I thing something more artistically inclined would be better with the downside of only being able to draw in specific colors like he is a great painter but can only paint in black and red
