Hrm. I thought I could see what Maniwa was angling towards, but maybe I’m just a couple steps ahead in his thought process? Was that Maniwa realizing what I’d been thinking? I guess I’ll find out next time. The mystery deepens; I think Kozuka seems to be telling the truth, which means either there’s another attacker involved or they’re doing it to themselves. It could be either one at this point, and either one could fit the title of the series.
Vexing, indeed.
