patreon

Important message from Dan

Hello Patrons,

I've decided to reboot my Patreon and start from scratch.

I have a bad track record with Patreon. When I first joined, I made way too many goals which I couldn't stick to. Even after simplifying them later, I'm not providing the quality of extra content you deserve. Not to mention that the internet has changed since I made those pledges, and rewards such as a free audio file are less enticing now that everything is instantly available on streaming services.

So, starting this month, I'm going to relaunch Patreon with a single tier of $3 per month. Every patron will have their name appear in the credits at the end of one of that month’s videos.

This will remove the stress that's always been in the back of my mind about the various commitments I need to keep on top of. I want to focus as much as possible purely on making the best content I can.

I want to thank all of you for supporting me here. I lost a lot of patrons over the years, presumably due to being so inactive on here - so I owe extra gratitude to those of you who stuck with me regardless.

I appreciate you taking the time to read all this, and I hope to see you again after the relaunch.

Dan

Happy to update my sub - I would say I listen to some of your music close to daily in some form and obviously want to support as much as I can afford to. Thanks for all the great music.

Personally i patreon rewards is a drawback to me cause it just gives me FOMO to sub to patreons, gettting stuff that im not using or are involved in. That's why ive been on and off when it comes to patreon because i get periods where it's just too annoying to know that there's stuff that i pay for in a way, but don't use.

To add another data point- I never care about rewards (though posts are nice to see) and am a basic $1 pledger for artists I like (your music is mighty fun, thank you)

You are awesome. I never backed for the rewards, I backed so that I can help you in some small way toward being awesome. I will continue to do so. Be safe much <3

Dude, don't sweat it so much. I chose to support you because i love your music. The patron rewards are a nice perk, but the main thing is that i can help you continue to make awesome music.

Honestly, I like having an actual copy of your songs on my hard drive. In case Spotify shuts down or I stop paying for it, I can still listen to them whenever I want.
