The NSA hate this song :(

Hello Patrons! Here's a video that took a hell of a lot of organising to do. I tried to get 100 different YouTubers and digital rights activists to send me photos holding up the lyrics to this song about the NSA's snooping powers. The style of the song is a little crazy and I think my ambitions exceeded my ability with the vocal performance here - but what the hell, this is punk rock. Sort of. Thanks to you patrons I am free to experiment more than if I was relying on YouTube ad revenue, because it means that if I make something a little weird that fewer people like, it doesn't matter :) Having said that I'm very interested in hearing what you'd like to see from me next. The gaming vids and vlogs will chug along nicely as usual, but are there specific topics or styles you think would work for me? Thanks again for your belief in me and your generous pledges. It makes me happy!

This is my favourite song by far out of your entire collection of magic!

Hi Dan, hope u r feeling much better. I want to make a rap for a fb game, I was wondering if this is something of interest to you in helping with?

Mark Bayley

Agree with Janne. Lacked a bit of punch and polish. Perhaps it was the subject matter, maybe the artists should have been flipping off the NSA or something to match the tone of the lyrics.

Sullie

While I do approve with the message, I didn't like the video or the way lyrics were set out. Somehow I couldn't find a punchline, and the lack of "epic" that Dan is known for wasn't there. I know you can do better. Or could be that I just have a bad day.

Janne

That was incredible. I really liked the track behind this song. Great work!

Jack Burgin

As always Spot on Dude, Keep up the good work! I guess that's why we are here, to ensure that you do :)

Luke Deity

Awesome video Dan, really want to see a payday 2 rap though!

Mike Metcalf

Really nice one Dan! I did enjoy the parts when you getting an rougher voice! It would be interesting to hear an "dark" Dan at least for me! you know using the deeper and "angrier" voice with an nice beat to it!

PelvisPresley

A class act once again Dan!

Great video Dan!

Hey there, that song sounded realy a bit off the conventional pattern, but not bad, more different instead. I, at least after listening to it twice, especially enjoied the intro for its 'groth' and the also the overal increasing dramaturgy during the song (I'm not sure what exactly it is, but it seems to me that you build up your refrain of more and more parts, that come together one after another). Your vocal performance sounded awesome to me, a bit away from the usual rapping and going more for harmonic (if that's the right term), that appealed to me ;) And of course the idea to collect all the images - top. What to see next? Well, I posted some thoughts already on your 'fuck contend ID' vid, here the stories short: Bioshock Infinite: Burial at sea rap Dishonored DLC rap Another collaboration with Adam Harrington (e.g. Walking Dead?) Loved your civilisation rap, that will be quite hatd to top :P And furthermore, I'm playing through Planescape: Torment atm, gods above, that game's atmosphere, setting and story is just the best, if you could mirror that (given you have played the game) into a rap, that, sir, that would be heaven ;) So, thanks for your second contribution to patreon. All the best Pascal
