Would You Like to Write a Fan Fiction story for The Black Ship?

A couple of weeks ago, I was chatting with Ekhinda about how interesting it would be to see The Black Ship fan fiction written by you, the fans. Similar to the official side stories, this could be a fun way to explore the world from new angles.

We thought it might be a great way to engage with the community. not just for the writers among you, but for the rest of us who’d love to read different perspectives from across the Principality. I might even give writing one a try myself!

If you're considering it, here are a few suggestions:

You can write a short or side story, or just pitch an idea that someone else might want to expand on.
Aim for at least 500 words to give your story a bit of weight (no length limit).
Stories can take place anywhere in the Principality, and can focus on humans, the Ykanti, Erebians, or any other race.
Post your stories to the r/openHFY subreddit.
If anyone does post a story, I’ll give it a shoutout on Patreon and YouTube so others can check it out (no pressure though! it’s just for fun).
The reddit story title should be: [Fan Fiction - The Black Ship] + Story name

If we get some great stories (and Ekhinda’s on board), I might even turn one or two into full narrated videos like The Black Ship itself.
