Patreon Side Story Decision (and What’s Next)
Added 2025-03-30 09:31:46 +0000 UTCFirstly, thank you to everyone who voted and for sharing your views in the comments. After reviewing the results of the recent poll and chatting with Ekhidna, we’ve made a decision on how we’ll handle side stories going forward.
Around 85% of Patreon supporters voted in favour of sharing side stories on YouTube after a short delay. So moving forward, Patreon will get early access for 7 days, and then those stories will be released to the wider YouTube audience. This helps us reward our supporters while still keeping the full community engaged and included.
That said, I also want to acknowledge the 15% of patrons who felt differently—those who value truly exclusive content. I hear you. I’ll be working with Ekhidna to explore other meaningful perks or exclusive rewards that honour your continued support. If you’ve got suggestions, we’d love to hear them. Please drop them in the comments.
And with that in mind:
'No Small Wunder' will be released on YouTube this Monday at the usual time, followed by the next Black Ship part on Tuesday.
(Yes, I know that’s not a 7-day gap—but I’d like to close the loop on this and start fresh going forward.)

The 7 day delay before sharing to YouTube is a classy option. That is what tipped the scales and brought me in to patreon. My appreciation and respect for how you guys handle the chaos of releasing content and sharing the joy of this story is commendable. I'm subbed wholeheartedly to support you guys and day thank you for all you do. Now. That being said. I would also be open to upping to a 10 or 20 dollar tier if it came with the potential for a signed copy of a hard copy down the road. I figure if it takes a year or 2 that's a few hundred bucks towards the dream of publication. If it never comes to fruition so be it. But I'm up for contributing towards the chance that it may happen. Either way. I appreciate you guys. Good luck and carry on.
