A Quick Status Update
Added 2022-12-27 11:57:34 +0000 UTCI just wanted to post a note about what I've been doing this month, for those who don't follow along in my discord.
The day after Coralyn was released (along with new versions of my mods currently in active development), I became ill. This is while I was working on fixing the initial Coralyn bugs. At first, I thought it was just because I had worked too hard and not had enough sleep trying to get Coralyn out before December. It turned out to be Covid.
The second week of Covid was worse than the first. My body was forcing me to sleep 18-20 hours per day. It became clear I also had a kidney stone. For those who have had a kidney stone, I don't have to explain how unpleasant it can be. The pain from the stone made it so I couldn't sleep and as a result, my Covid recovery was delayed. I am finally doing better. I'm not 100 percent, but I'm a million percent compared to the past two weeks.
Again, for those who don't follow along in discord, I am in the process of untying OPrivacy from the game's relationship rank system. I'm doing this because of the large number of other mods that alter that system. Everything from ORomance to random cosmetic character replacers can change NPC relationship ranks. This, of course, causes OPrivacy to do things it should not. So, beginning with FemaleSultry, I am altering OPrivacy to track game progression for specific characters and the quests related to them. This will serve as the method for deciding yes/no on requests for privacy. There are already examples of this in OPrivacy. Karliah, Vex, Tonilia, Brynjolf, Maven, and Mirabelle all require certain quests to be complete before you can have relations with them. That's the direction I'm going with the others because it just feels more natural. But be aware, this will take time and be rolled out across several releases. There are an enormous number of major characters in the game and so we are talking about special conditions, quest progress checks, and dialogues for each of them. It's a big job.
Happy holidays and thanks for sponsoring me on Patreon!
