OMG...SO good. This gap in my own historic education (US based, but much broader than one might think) is so critical to "the whole story." Because US history at the high school, and even collegiate level focuses on major conflict for the US as a "unit of history" we really fail to focus and analyze the effects of said conflict. Those lessons, leaders, attitudes, and actions that lead to policy and then to international action are just as important or clarifying as the decisions made when crisis is already upon the people, government, or our world-at-large. Thank you for choosing and enlightening the parts of our shared history that are often overlooked. Also---Strongboys. :)

Hey! Amazing video. I recently became a supporter, and was wondering if we still get to vote on topics? I couldn't find a post on how to do that, and there hasn't been a post containing a vote in a while.

I think it's just a hook to the year and period, but he mentions that we will come back to it in a later video. Perhaps the economic effects of those years had some influence on the political situation, not yet discussed?

I am confused how the year with out a summer relates to the French, Spanish and British.
