I think the thing that makes Alexander so interesting, beyond the fact he won, his immense luck and his fiery personality, was his charisma.
In my studies on the man he could give amazing speeches, whether the ones recorded are actually what he said doesn’t matter. The fact is he spoke to his men and convinced them to continue on with this reckless and dangerous campaign.
