Based purely on these videos i would guess stay they stayed together as one unit until they retired which is about to happen with Caesars legions during the civil war.

I have a question about the half-strength Legions.... Was there any process in place to allow for reinforcement of a given legion to get it back to full strength or was the idea to keep the unit together as a cohesive unit as long as possible?

Yep, college educated, but not specifically in ancient history. My area of focus in school was 19th century European history, which weirdly enough has come up in exactly zero videos. I'm glad you notice the work that goes into the research side of things. My philosophy is like... if all I'm doing is providing glorified summaries of Wikipedia articles, that's not a good use of anybody's time. The videos are going to live on the Internet forever, so they might as well be definitive, and exhaustively researched. :)

Awesome content, as always. This is a bit off topic but as someone who’s watched you for quite some time now, I’m just wondering since I haven’t found the info anywhere else, are you college educated in history? Or some similar or equal accreditation? Your attention to detail and clear process of genuinely reading the sources always impresses me
