You've probably already thought of this, but as a fellow game dev, I find if I'm making a project that's going to take a while, releasing a demo really helps motivation. It gives me a short term goal that I can work towards that allows people to play my game without having to work a huge amount of time to finish the entire experience yet. Plus of course, the usual things like allowing people to give feedback, find bugs I may have missed, generating hype for the full game, etc. I find that helps me, anyway. But either way, videos or games, I'll love seeing what you create next!
