Qui's love interest poll!

In a text document, however, it can only be one or the other. Previous instalments I've posted from 'The Fall of Ottawa' presume a female 'Sam.' I'd like to gauge interest in whether or not I should offer a version of the story with a male Sam so readers can choose their preference.
