Absolutely brilliant, brilliant advice. Prepping this way, for me, makes the prep so fun! Character conflict is one of my favorite things to see in a party. It gives them the opportunity to show who they really are as a party. How well do they communicate? What are their values? What are their priorities? Who we are is, in one sense at least, defined by what we do. Providing dilemmas lets the PCs show me and each other who they are and who they want to become, which informs the trajectory of their whole campaign.
