I just don't bother trying to run accounting on that just assume that whatever costs the estate incurs in everyday operations (especially since Isra and wrena are busy making private stuff and not stuff for sale) is paid off by previous inventions and sales. The rest Aikerim pockets herself with great pleasure. And yeah hair is not only long because they have trouble cutting it, but it also a show of wealth (long hair means you dont need to work) and the braids represent tentacles of heurisks.
