Remixing Avernus - Part 3F-A: Dungeon of the Dead Three (Design Notes)
Added 2020-04-27 15:11:01 +0000 UTCPart 3F: Dungeon of the Dead Three vastly exceeded spec (coming in at nearly 8,000 words total), so it's being split up across multiple posts at the Alexandrian. (The full thing was uploaded yesterday as an Early Access PDF for all patrons.)
In my intro to the remix, I talked about who I can easily find myself getting sucked down into the nitty-gritty details. That's certainly what happened here, with the result being a fully developed and ready-to-play version of the dungeon. (This also extends to the rest of the Vanthampur Investigations, too.)
I think we're going to have a fairly clear shot to the end of Part 3 now, as the next couple of nodes are fairly straightforward.
Part 4: Candlekeep may be a bit more involved as that will also be the point where we straighten out the continuity around the history of Thavius Kreeg, Elturel, and the pact with Zariel.
But I'm very much looking forward to diving into Hell, starting with some novel scenario structures in Elturel.
